Persephone : Goddess of Spring and
Flowers
I'm the temple of Persephone, the
beautiful goddess of spring and flowers. I was built so the
people could worship her in a respectful way. She is the
daughter of Demeter and Zeus. Persephone is also the queen
of the underworld. This happened when Hades kidnapped her.
Before Zeus gave Hermes permission to fetch Persephone he
said, for every seed Persephone ate she would have to go
back to the underworld for a month. Persephone ate 6 seeds
before Hermes got there. That's why we have fall and
winter.

Athena: Goddess of Wisdom
I am the temple of Athena. Athena is the great goddess of
wisdom. Many mortals pray (in me, her temple) to her, hoping
that she will give them help. For instance, judges pray to
her before their trials and generals prayed to her before
war hoping she would help them srategize. Sometimes, if the
battle was for just reasons, Athena herself would come down
from Mt. Olympus to lead the armies. This made her rival,
Ares, God of war, angry, because she won all the wars she
lead, and often beat him. Although she can be very nice and
kind, Athena can be stern, for she has her limits and
conquences too. Be careful what you boast about. Don't use
'I am' and 'Better than Athena' in the sentence or you might
spend the rest of your life as a spider! That is what
happened to a young girl named Arachne, and that is why
spiders are called Arachnids by the people who know them
best. I feel very proud to be built to honor the great
goddess Athena

Zeus: King of the Gods
I am a temple to honor Zeus, the king of
gods. Zeus was the king of gods because he battled Cronus,
The Titans, and Mother Earth to gain the throne. Zeus was
the king of the twelve gods. Zeus always had a bucket full
of lightning bolts. Zeus had a wife named Hera. He has eight
children that are gods. Their names are Ares, Hephaestus,
Hermes, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Dionysus, Persephone. He
also has many mortal and half mortal descendants such as
Hercules, Jason, and Theseus. In conclusion we think Zeus is
a great god.
