Today campers looked at x-rays of a variety of animal hands and used image processing techniques to help with identification. Campers tried to observe patterns of animal locomotion by studying animations of animal movement.

To complete the day 7 activities, campers utilized the following image processing techniques:

  • manipulating the LUT
  • density slicing
  • manipulating color tables
  • using filters
  • modifying images
  • animating stacks

Campers worked together to solve problems. Scaling the head to just the right size became a group effort!

After analyzing horse locomotion, this camper decided to investigate the movement of an ostrich.

Can you guess this animal by just looking at its movement?

Besides creating a new activity for building cityscapes and castles, this camper has started to explore other possible effects with surface plotting and the drawing tools.

At the end of each day campers add their own thoughts to our Camp Log. It is fun to reflect upon the activities of days gone by.
